Phase III of CDP will focus on the rehabilitation of the wastewater management system in the City Khujand (Tajikistan) with an aim to reach compliance with relevant EU directives. In parallel to the physical development investment, the technical assistance project aims to further improve the financial and operational performance of KWC and strengthen the Public Service Agreement with the City.
The Consultant assisted the Company to further improve its commercial standing, service and environmental performance by supporting the ongoing identification and implementation of the necessary corporate, financial and operational improvements required to meet the related covenants included in the EBRD finance documents for Phase III. Specifically, the project supported the client to: improve environmental performance, to meet effluent treatment standards; improve revenue and collection efficiency, reduce NRW and water losses, optimize energy consumption, and improve public and customer relations.
