Corporate Development Programme for Kyzylorda Water and Wastewater Company

KIWER, operating under Corporate Solutions Ltd as a subcontractor and commissioned by EBRD, has been entrusted with a mandate to lead the Corporate Development Programme for Kyzylorda Water and Wastewater Company alongside the City of Kyzylorda. This strategic initiative is designed to modernize and elevate the water and wastewater system within the city, marking a significant leap forward in infrastructure development.
The Project’s overarching objective is to catalyze improvements in the Company’s water and wastewater services by channeling funding into essential investments for upgrading the water supply and wastewater management infrastructure. Additionally, a comprehensive Corporate Development Programme will be implemented to drive enhanced performance across all operational facets.
As an integral component of the Corporate Development Programme, a series of strategic activities will be executed, including the establishment of a performance-based private sector management contract involving the Company, the Akimat, and a private operator. Furthermore, initiatives such as the development and implementation of a Financial Optimization and Performance Improvement Plan (FOPIP), adoption of a forward-looking Corporate Development Plan, introduction of a sophisticated Management Information System (MIS), and implementation of a Stakeholder Participation Programme (SPP) will be prioritized.
The project’s strategic focus extends to supporting the client in several critical areas, including enhancing environmental performance to meet stringent effluent treatment standards, boosting revenue generation and collection efficiency, minimizing non-revenue water (NRW) and water losses, optimizing energy consumption, and fostering stronger public and customer relations. This comprehensive approach underscores our commitment to driving sustainable development, operational excellence, and stakeholder engagement in Kyzylorda’s water and wastewater management sector.
