KIWER, operating under Corporate Solutions Ltd as a subcontractor and commissioned by EBRD, has been granted the prestigious opportunity to spearhead Phase III of the “Corporate Development, Stakeholder Participation, and City Support Programme for Khujand Water and Wastewater Company.” This strategic endeavor is dedicated to revitalizing the wastewater management infrastructure in Khujand, Tajikistan, aligning with the rigorous standards set forth by relevant EU directives.
The core focus of Phase III of the Corporate Development Programme (CDP) is to orchestrate the rehabilitation of Khujand’s wastewater management system, aiming to achieve full compliance with EU directives. Simultaneously, this technical assistance initiative seeks to elevate the financial and operational performance of Khujand Water and Wastewater Company (KWC) while fortifying the Public Service Agreement with the City.
The Consultant’s role is pivotal in fostering enhanced commercial viability, service quality, and environmental stewardship by guiding the identification and implementation of essential corporate, financial, and operational enhancements. These enhancements are crucial to fulfilling the covenants outlined in the EBRD finance documents for Phase III. Specifically, the project will support the client in enhancing environmental performance to meet effluent treatment standards, improving revenue generation and collection efficiency, reducing non-revenue water (NRW) and water losses, optimizing energy consumption, and fostering stronger public and customer relations.
