KIWER is awarded by GIZ to collaborate with KEPA on an initiative aimed at developing a standardized reporting platform aligned with current legislation. This platform will cater to a wide range of stakeholders involved in waste management, including municipalities and waste management service providers.
The strategic vision of this project is to harmonize data collection methods, formats, terminology, and definitions, ensuring seamless consistency and compatibility across diverse waste management systems and reporting entities. By establishing comprehensive data standards, guidelines, and templates for reporting, the project will streamline and enhance the accuracy and reliability of data collection and reporting processes.
Moreover, the project will conduct a thorough assessment of available technology solutions, software platforms, and data management systems to identify the most suitable tools for implementing the standardized reporting framework. This advanced platform will empower the Environmental Protection Agency to efficiently collect, analyze, and evaluate reported data, enabling informed decision-making and progress evaluation.
